Tepot; Sliding Lid

An intriguing marked teapot by an unknown maker, probably Castleford.

The pot is marked, but the mark is unknown. The attribution is based on body type and design features; although we have not been able to find a white version of this teapot, each feature has been noted on a Castleford example.

The sliding lid is unusual, as is the Mother & Child finial.
