Pair Chinese Bird globular potpourris

A pair of globular pot-pourris in black basalt, decorated with Chinese Pheasant, using the Famille Rose palette.

These are part of a range of items made by Wedgwood during the Regency period to cater for the Chinoiserie fashion of the time. These early examples are of high quality and hand-painted.

Complete with inner covers to preserve the potpourri when not needed.
