One of the series of copies of early Wedgwood portrait medallions produced by the Leeds Pottery revivalists.

An important referenced piece for collectors of portrait medallions. The feel of Leeds revival basalt is quite distinctive and the collector should be experienced in handling it; examples have been seen with the mark erased in order to imitate early unmarked Wedgwood medallions.
