Punch Pot

A great joy to find and example in such good condition that it still retains most of its gilding. It looks unused.

Punch pots are distinguished from teapots by their decoration and by their size. A bit oversized for a teapot of the period; and the relief of grapes is typical for items associated with alcohol for the period.
