Soft-paste porcelain figure of a nurse feeding a swaddled infant.

Formally attributed to Richard Chaffers by Watney; Errol Manners has recently published a paper in which this figure (and few others) is attributed to John Bolton, at his short-lived porcelain factory in Kentish Town in 1755. Very few examples from this factory are known.

Taken from the Chelsea version, which in turn was from the potter Berthelemy de Blenod.
