An unusual print, sometimes found on mugs; exceptionally rare to find it on a jug.
King George III died in 1760, and so any Worcester commemoratives of him are scarce. The print commemorates the King’s naval battles, and also has the Worcester mark and rebus sometimes found on transfer prints of this period.
The jug is a beautiful shape, the spout crisply moulded, the prints fresh and clear. An outstanding piece.
