An unusual marked example of an early pearlware teapot, of oval shape with rising cape and polychrome enamelled decoration and gilding.

Rare mark: Impressed WOOD. Probably Enoch Wood, see Berthould 2nd ed figure 419; Lewis Pratt Ware p 39.

Occasional flaking from gilding as expected.
