Coffee Pot

A large and fine example from one of the few potteries run by a woman. The Cyples pottery was run by Lydia Cyples after the death of her husband; A later Lydia Cyples, was an important suffragette. Almost certainly a relative, perhaps her daughter.

A few minor chips to the rim of the lid. Cyples black earthenware is quite soft and rarely seen without leat a few edge chips.
