Picnic by a River

Daisy Makeig Jones’ description relates this to a Norse tale in which the Dwarves are condemned to live underground, and the ‘Light Elves’ are allowed to play amongst the flowers, being renamed ‘The Fairy-Folk, or People of Peace’.

It is just possible to relate the design to the end of the story, but the factory name, ‘Picnic by a River’, is more commonly used.

This rare version features a night-time sky, coral and bronze trees, a green bat and other interesting improvements; probably a special order.
