Hope Service Plate

A dinner plate from The Hope Service: a service commissioned by HRH The Duke of Clarence – later King William IV. Each item in the service has a hand-painted representation of Hope, each one different.

Although these show up from time to time, it rare to find an example in such good condition, and with such bright gilding. A superb example from this sought-after service.
