Early "Fake" Worcester Plate

A very interesting example of early forgery. The pattern is copied from Bow or Worcester, and a good imitation of the associated ‘feathered W’ mark (for Worcester) will be found on the back of this delftware plate.

The quality of the painting is very fine.

Condition is verging on poor. Apart from the usual edge chips (which have been filled), there is stacking wear around the well, which has been touched up.
