Collection: Drabware

Though the word drab has come to mean 'dull', it was originally a name for a popular colour. Drab was particularly popular in the second half of the 19th century, and creamware stained this colour was produced in quantity; it is found plain, gilt, painted, and sometimes with stoneware relief, usually blue.
